My project is about gender inequality. First I want to find information about the position of women in Serbian society and the position of women in refugee camps from Kosovo. Then I want to find solutions on how to organize women on a local level first in my city Nis. I researched women’s unemployment and inequality of women. The aim of this research is to show inequality is wrong, justice is missing in the discussion of this topic.

Heteronormative love kills. Love relationships perceived and lived in terms of heteronormativity require the ultimate restriction of one's freedom of living her/his life without restraints, one's freedom of true loving. Jealousy and possessiveness, emotional pressure and blackmail, dictating one's feelings and the way they should be expressed, are instances met almost all the time in monogamous relationships and they are restraining the individual's sphere of enjoying other kinds of relationships – of friendship, love, mutuality and so on – others then the one and only shared with the other person. Very often this love you are sharing with the opposite gender is nourishing and is brutally imposing beauty standards imprisoning the other one in sexist stereotypes.

LoveKills collective is trying to organize the third edition of the festival. It is our strong desire to continue this festival, as we consider it to be very important for our struggle to make a difference especially in the romanian context, to live up to our anarcha-feminist ideas in a fundamentalist/ orthodox/ patriarchal society and even in a completely ignorant+sexist "scene". We are welcoming every individual/ collective involved/ interested in anarcha-feminism to take part in our festival, to support and help us. The festival will be taking place in Timisoara (West of Romania) during the last week-end of september 26th-27th. Anyone who is interested in presenting a workshop/lecture/documentary/exhibition, in performing or playing or anything else please contact us.

The "Anti Trafficking Center" (ATC) is a citizens’ association with a mission of promoting universal human rights in Serbia and Montenegro and the region.
The ATC is a non-governmental, non-profit organization which is trying to contribute, through its programs, to eradicating trafficking in human beings, with a special emphasis on the CAUSES of the problem of trafficking, such as gender-based violence, poverty, unemployment, and the lack of suitable opportunities.

ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION

Monday 02.07.2007. hotel Sumarice, Kragujevac, Serbia
Two 3 hour sesions in morning and afternoon. Number of students is about 20 people in one group.

GENDER - refers to socially constucted roles, behaviours, activities that a given society considers appropriate for men and women.

SEX - refers to the biological and physiological characteristics that define men from women.

Musculine and feminine are gender categories, while male and female are sex categories.

*Exercise:defining sex of two candidates,and separate them from gender caracteristics.
